General School Suppy Lists
Please note that some of these supplies will need to be replenished during the school year.

Kindergarten
  • 1 backpack (standard size)
  • 1 box of crayons (24 count)
  • 1 pack of Expo dry-erase markers
  • 1 pack of washable markers
  • 1 big box of Kleenex
  • 1 container of Playdoh
  • 2 large glue sticks
  • 1 box of colored pencils
  • 1 box of snack
  • 1 box of quart or gallon sized zipper plastic bags
Do not put your child’s name on anything but the backpack.  Everything on the list (except the backpack) is to share in the classroom.


1st Grade
  • box of crayons (48 or less)
  • plastic pencil box
  • 1 package of pencils (sharpened please)
  • 2 big boxes of facial tissue to be shared with the rest of the class
  • 2 red pocket folders (with bottom pockets, not side pockets)
  • 1 blue pocket folder (with bottom pockets, not side pockets)
  • 3 spiral bound WIDE ruled notebooks (non-perforated)
  • 2 large glue sticks
  • box of colored pencils
  • big pink eraser
Folders and notebooks will be available for you to purchase at Open House in the fall.


2nd Grade

  • scissors
  • glue/ glue sticks
  • crayons (48 or less)
  • 7 pocket folders (1 blue, 1 green, 2 yellow, and 2 red)
  • 4 WIDE-RULED spiral notebooks
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex
  • 1 box of markers (optional)
  • 1 small plastic pencil box
  • 1 box of Ziploc bags (any size)
  • 2 pink erasers
You may choose to donate $7 - $10 to the classroom instead of buying your child’s supplies.

No mechanical pencils or 3-ring binders, please.

Please do not mark your child’s name on supplies.  These will become community supplies for the classroom.


3rd Grade
  • 1 composition notebook
  • 4 folders (2 pockets with fasteners)
  • 6 SPIRAL notebooks (WIDE lined)
  • pencils (lead pencils #2 only, NOT mechanical)
  • eraser
  • scissors
  • crayons (box of 24 is fine)
  • glue stick
  • large box of tissue to share
  • 1 dry erase marker (black chisel tip is best)
  • 1 pen for correcting

4th Grade

Instead of buying school supplies, we are asking families to please send $5 to school with your child the first day; teachers will buy basic supplies.

  • Send 2 box tissues
  • Please, no Trapper Keepers
  • Please, no mechanical pencils

5th Grade
  • 6 notebooks (color coded for the different content area)
  • 6 folders (color coded for the different content area)
  • 1-1/2" 3 ring binder
  • 1 blue notebook & folder (for Science)
  • #2 pencils (at least 12)
  • eraser
  • 2 pens (black or blue)
  • 2 correcting pens (any color except black or blue)
  • set of 8 colored pencils
  • crayons (24 pack is more than enough)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • glue (white school glue)
  • scissors (adult size, safety rated)
  • 1 small planner or notebook for recording homework
  • sturdy backpack

NO MECHANICAL PENCILS PLEASE

PLEASE NOTE:  We know many students like TRAPPER KEEPERS.  HOWEVER, desk space is limited and TRAPPER KEEPERS leave little room for books and essentials.  For this reason, we ask that students DO NOT bring TRAPPER KEEPERS to school.

An alternative to TRAPPER KEEPERS is the expandable accordion folders with the flip cover.  They work well for keeping homework safe and help in organizing class work.

A QUIET STUDY AREA AT HOME SHOULD HAVE SUPPLIES THAT INCLUDE:  tape, stapler, dictionary, thesaurus, pencils, eraser, pens, colored pencils, markers, glue, scissors, paper, construction paper.


6th Grade
  • 2 boxes facial tissues
  • assignment notebook
  • 5 pocket folders (purple, red, blue, yellow, green)
  • 3 spiral notebooks--without perforations (purple, blue, yellow)
  • highlighter(s)
  • 1 or 2 white board markers
  • pens (3 blue, 3 red)
  • 6 #2 pencils
  • eraser
  • pencil sharpener
  • color pencils
  • small pencil case
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • pocket dictionary
  • crayons (optional)
  • 1-1/2" 3-ring binder with 5 subject dividers
  • assignment/paper organizer (suggested features...accordion style case with zipper and strap or handle)

A QUIET STUDY AREA AT HOME SHOULD HAVE SUPPLIES THAT INCLUDE:á tape, stapler, dictionary, thesaurus, pencils, eraser, pens, colored pencils, markers, glue, scissors, paper, scientific calculator.
 
** We highly recommend students have and use a LIBRARY CARD , so they can have access to these resources at the St. Paul Public Library: computers, books, reference materials, videos, tapes, DVDs, and HOMEWORK HELP.


5th/6th Grade Learning Center
  • 1 or 2 boxes facial tissues

  • 4 spiral notebooks (without perforated edge)

Where Do I Park?

Parents MAY use the Hoyt entrance if they park their cars on Hoyt Avenue or the school parking lot. NO CARS MAY BE PARKED IN THE CIRCLE DRIVE AT ANYTIME. Also, please do not motion your child to cross between the school busses. There is available parking also on Idaho Avenue, west of the school building, or in the school parking lot, west of the playground.
