Welcome to our class web page. We will begin the year with nine sixth grade students and one fifth grade student, making for a full house. Most of your students have been with me for at least one year and I am looking forward to continuing the academic and social progress we have made thus far. As always, new members to the class are a welcome addition for the diversity and gifts they bring to an already diverse and talented group of young boys and girls.
Last year's class has set a record for number of safe days as a whole class. It is my belief that this year's class can, and will, rise to the challenge of beating that record. Our's is a classroom where Respect, Work and Belonging create a thriving community of learners. Each student takes pride in their role in creating that safe environment for learning.
I look forward to the challenges, thrills and successes of a new school year. We will hit the ground running. Picking up where we left off with Reader's and Writer's Workshop as well as Everyday Math. Last year's class pushed me to new heights. I am excited about being pushed even further.
