Daily assignments are given. These assignments are expected to be completed the following day. Students may come inside during recess to receive help from teachers. Please support our efforts by providing a consistent homework time and quiet work space for your children. This will help them to succeed with their schoolwork. Assignments that are not completed become incomplete. Students can change an incomplete assignment to a late assignment by completing it by Friday. Incomplete assignments must be made up by the following Monday. If the assignments are not made up, the assignments will become a 0 grade. If a student is absent, absent assignments will be due the following day after the student returns to school from the absence. If a student is absent for several days, they will receive a reasonable time to make up the missed assignments. Please remember to send a note explaining your child’s absence from school. We use a Study Hall system to emphasize the development of personal responsibility at school. If a student has two or more late or incomplete assignments during the week, he/she will have the opportunity to complete them during a Friday afternoon study hall. We will send an incomplete note home to inform you of your child’s incompletes. Please sign and return it by the following Monday. The students who are not in study hall will participate in recess activities.
