Classroom Management • I believe that children are most likely to behave responsibly if they are engaged in meaningful, rigorous work and are given high expectations for behavior. • I believe that children are ultimately responsible for their own learning and behavior. Therefore, they are given opportunities to improve their behavior before other adults are involved. Basic Class Rules: 1. Respect all people and property. 2. Choose only safe and peaceful activities. 3. Show responsibility by being prepared, on time, and participate actively. Consequences: 1. Redirection to appropriate behavior. 2. Student takes a break in another classroom to make a plan for improvement. 3. Student and teacher contact parent/guardian by phone or e-mail. 4.
